القاعدة

تشير الإنجليزية بأربع كلمات تختلف في أمرين: القرب والبعد، والإفراد والجمع. this · that · these · those. وفي المتجر هذه كل المفردات التي تحتاجها لتشتري شيئًا لا تعرف اسمه: I will take this one.

النمط

near: this (one) · these (many) | far: that (one) · those (many)

  1. This is my son.

    هذا ابني. — قريب، مفرد

  2. How much is that bag?

    كم ثمن تلك الحقيبة؟ — بعيد، مفرد

  3. These trousers are too big.

    هذا البنطال كبير جدًا. — قريب، جمع

  4. I take this one, please.

    سآخذ هذا من فضلك.

أخطاء شائعة

  • خطأ: this shoes

    صحيح: these shoes

    this للمفرد، والجمع يأخذ these.

  • خطأ: How much is this over there?

    صحيح: How much is that over there?

    البعيد عنك يُشار إليه بـ that لا this.
