القاعدة

علّمك A2 كيف تبني صيغة المقارنة، ويعلّمك B1 كيف تقيسها. ضع أمامها much أو far أو a lot للفرق الكبير، وa bit أو a little أو slightly للفرق الصغير: ‏much cheaper وa bit later. ولا تستخدم very مع صيغة المقارنة أبدًا. وeven تعني أن الثاني يتجاوز شيئًا كان مرتفعًا أصلًا: ‏It was even colder yesterday. وهناك صيغتان أخريان: ‏not as … as للمقارنة المنفية، وthe more you practise, the easier it gets لأمرين يتصاعدان معًا.

أخطاء شائعة

  • خطأ: This one is very cheaper.

    صحيح: This one is much cheaper.

    لا تُقوّي very صيغة المقارنة، بل much.

  • خطأ: It is more cheaper than the other.

    صحيح: It is cheaper than the other.

    لا تبنِ صيغة المقارنة مرتين.

  • خطأ: She is not so fast as her sister than.

    صحيح: She is not as fast as her sister.

    المقارنة المنفية هي not as … as بلا than.
