القاعدة

كثير من الكلمات الإنجليزية تحمل حرف جر ثابتًا لا يُستنتج من المعنى: depend on وconsist of وaccuse of وapologise for وsimilar to وdifferent from وcapable of. وإذا تبع الحرفَ فعلٌ أخذ صيغة -ing: capable of running.

depend تأخذ on.
خطأ: She insisted to pay for everybody.

insist on مع -ing.
خطأ: It is different than the first one.

صحيح: It is different from the first one.
