The rule

안 goes in front of the verb, with a space: 안 가요, 안 먹어요, 안 비싸요. With a X하다 verb it slides INSIDE — 공부 안 해요, not 안 공부해요. And it cannot negate 있다, 알다 or 맛있다: those have their own opposites, 없다, 모르다 and 맛없다.

  2. 오늘은 공부 안 해요.

    I am not studying today.

  3. 이거 안 비싸요.

    This is not expensive.
