De regel

Als twee dingen gelijk zijn, staat het kale bijvoeglijk naamwoord tussen as en as: My flat is as big as yours. Ontkennend: not as expensive as. Aan het bijvoeglijk naamwoord verandert niets.

Veelgemaakte fouten

  • Fout: It is as bigger as yours.

    Goed: It is as big as yours.

    Tussen as en as staat het bijvoeglijk naamwoord kaal.

  • Fout: It is not so expensive than I thought.

    Goed: It is not as expensive as I thought.

    Het tweede woord is as, niet than.
