have to and must

القاعدة

يفيد have to وmust كلاهما الضرورة. غالبًا يعبّر must عن رأي المتكلم، وhave to عن قاعدة خارجية. والنفي مختلف: must not تعني المنع، وdo not have to تعني عدم اللزوم.

النمط

must + plain verb · have to / has to + plain verb · must not = forbidden · do not have to = not necessary

أمثلة

  1. I have to work on Saturday this week.

    عليّ العمل يوم السبت هذا الأسبوع.

  2. You must wear a helmet on the site.

    يجب أن ترتدي خوذة في الموقع.

  3. You must not park in front of the door.

    ممنوع الركن أمام الباب.

  4. You do not have to come if you are tired.

    لست مضطرًا للحضور إن كنت متعبًا.

أخطاء شائعة

  • خطأ: I must to go now.

    صحيح: I must go now.

    لا تأتي to بعد must.

  • خطأ: You must not bring a passport, it is optional.

    صحيح: You do not have to bring a passport, it is optional.

    must not للمنع، وdo not have to لعدم اللزوم.
