주세요 · -아/어 주세요

The rule

For a thing, put 주세요 after the noun: 물 주세요, 메뉴 주세요. For an action, conjugate the verb into its 아/어 form and add 주세요: 말해 주세요, 열어 주세요. This is the single most useful pattern in the course and it is polite to anyone.

명사 + 주세요 · 동사 + 아/어 주세요

    Some water, please.

  2. 천천히 말해 주세요.

    Please speak slowly.

  3. 문 좀 열어 주세요.

    Please open the door.
