por and para: more uses

The rule

A1 covered purpose, recipient, reason and movement through. A2 adds more. para + a DEADLINE: el informe es para el lunes; + a DESTINATION: salgo para casa; + an OPINION: para mí, es demasiado caro; and "considering": para ser extranjero, habla muy bien. por + a MEANS: por teléfono, por correo, por internet; + a PRICE or an EXCHANGE: lo compré por veinte euros, gracias por todo; + an approximate PLACE: vive por aquí; + a FREQUENCY: dos veces por semana. The question pair: ¿para qué? asks the purpose, ¿por qué? the reason.
