أخطاء شائعة

• ✗خطأ: The man who I spoke to him is the manager.

  ✓صحيح: The man I spoke to is the manager.

  الموصول ينوب عن المفعول فيُحذف الضمير.

• ✗خطأ: The report, that was late, has been rejected.

  ✓صحيح: The report, which was late, has been rejected.

  لا تأتي that بعد فاصلة، بل which أو who.

• ✗خطأ: Forty applicants, most of them were local.

  ✓صحيح: Forty applicants, most of whom were local.

  داخل الجملة الموصولة تأخذ أداة الكمّ of whom لا of them.
