  All تحل محل what؛ لا تجمع بينهما.

• ✗خطأ: The reason is because the train was late.

  ✓صحيح: The reason is that the train was late.

  تفضّل الإنجليزية الرسمية the reason is that.

• ✗خطأ: It was until midnight that she called.

  ✓صحيح: It was not until midnight that she called.

  إبراز وقت متأخر يحتاج not until.
