أين تقع only وeven وماذا تغيّران

Where only and even go, and what they change

القاعدة

ظروف التركيز مثل only وeven وjust وalso تتعلق بالجزء الذي تركّز عليه، فتحريكها يغيّر المعنى: Only I saw the email (لم يره غيري)، وI only saw the email (لم أفعل به شيئًا آخر)، وI saw only the email (لا المرفق). والظروف الوسطى (also وjust وalready وstill وprobably) تأتي بعد be وبعد أول فعل مساعد وقبل الفعل الرئيسي. وظروف التعليق (Frankly وSurprisingly) تفتتح الجملة غالبًا.

Only I … (nobody else) · I only … (nothing more) · … only the … (nothing else) · Even + subject · even + verb · be + also / still / probably · auxiliary + also / just / already + main verb · Frankly, / Surprisingly, / Clearly, + sentence

أمثلة

  1. Only the manager can approve the refund.

    وحده المدير يستطيع الموافقة على استرداد المبلغ.

  2. The manager can only approve the refund, not pay it.

    يستطيع المدير الموافقة على الاسترداد فقط لا دفعه.

  3. Even the children noticed that something was wrong.

    حتى الأطفال لاحظوا أن شيئًا ما ليس على ما يرام.

  4. Frankly, I don’t think the plan will work.

    بصراحة، لا أظن أن الخطة ستنجح.

أخطاء شائعة

  • خطأ: She also is a qualified pilot.

    صحيح: She is also a qualified pilot.

    also تأتي بعد be وقبل الفعل الرئيسي.

  • خطأ: I have seen already that film.

    صحيح: I have already seen that film.

    الظروف الوسطى بين الفعل المساعد والفعل الرئيسي.

  • خطأ: He speaks very well English.

    صحيح: He speaks English very well.

    لا تضع الظرف بين الفعل ومفعوله.
