القاعدة

تتجنب الإنجليزية الفاعل الطويل في أول الجملة، فتنقل الجملة أو المصدر الفاعل إلى آخرها وتضع it شكلية مكانه: It surprised nobody that he resigned. وتكثر في الكتابة الرسمية أطر ثابتة: It is worth noting that وIt should be stressed that وIt remains to be seen whether وIt goes without saying that وIt is no coincidence that. ومع -ing: It’s no use complaining وIt’s not worth waiting. والـ it إلزامية، ولا تحل there محلها.

النمط

أخطاء شائعة

  • خطأ: Is important that you arrive on time.

    صحيح: It is important that you arrive on time.

    تحتاج الإنجليزية إلى فاعل: الـ it الشكلية.

  • خطأ: There is difficult to find parking here.

    صحيح: It is difficult to find parking here.

    استخدم it لا there قبل الصفة والمصدر.

  • خطأ: It’s no use to complain.

    صحيح: It’s no use complaining.

    It’s no use مع -ing.
