The rule

Ownership is the particle 의, but in speech it usually disappears: 친구 가방 is fine for "my friend’s bag". 저의 shrinks to 제 and that one you will use constantly — 제 이름, 제 친구. And where English says "my house", Korean says 우리 집: anything the family shares is "ours".

Pattern

명사 + 의 · 제 + 명사 · 우리 + 명사

    Our house is in Seoul.

  3. 이거 제 거예요.

    This is mine.
