The rule

A Korean question word stands where the answer would stand, not at the front. 어디에 가요? puts 어디 exactly where 학교 goes in 학교에 가요. 몇 always sits in front of a counter (몇 개, 몇 시), 얼마 is only about money, 무슨 asks what kind and 어느 asks which one of a set.
