القاعدة

بعد see وhear وwatch وnotice وfeel قد يتبع المفعولَ مصدرٌ مجرد أو صيغة -ing ويتغير المعنى: المصدر المجرد يعطي الفعل كاملًا (I saw her cross the road)، وصيغة -ing تعطي جزءًا منه وهو جارٍ. وفي المبني للمجهول يصبح المصدر المجرد to مع المصدر: He was seen to leave. وأفعال الحكم مثل find وconsider تحتاج it شكلية: I find it hard to concentrate.

see / hear / watch + object + bare infinitive (whole action) · + -ing (in progress) · be seen / heard / made + to + infinitive (passive) · find / consider / think + it + adjective + to / that … · appreciate it if …

أمثلة

  1. I heard someone knock at the door, so I went down.

    سمعت أحدًا يطرق الباب فنزلت.

  2. We watched the sun going down over the harbour.

    شاهدنا الشمس وهي تغرب فوق الميناء.

  3. He was seen to leave the building shortly after midnight.

    شوهد وهو يغادر المبنى بعد منتصف الليل بقليل.

  4. I find it hard to say no to my manager.

    أجد صعوبة في رفض طلبات مديري.

أخطاء شائعة

  • خطأ: I find hard to concentrate in open offices.

    صحيح: I find it hard to concentrate in open offices.

    find مع it والصفة وto: الـ it إلزامية.

  • خطأ: She was seen leave the house.

    صحيح: She was seen to leave the house.

    في المبني للمجهول يصبح المصدر المجرد to مع المصدر.

  • خطأ: They made him to wait outside.

    صحيح: They made him wait outside.

    make في المبني للمعلوم تأخذ المصدر المجرد.

    hear somebody do تصبح في المجهول be heard to do.
